Resistance is the only thing keeping you upright. Every morning, we resist gravity just to get out of bed. Every time you pick up a grandchild or carry the groceries, you are in a fight against the natural pull of the earth.
But it's also paramount that we resist Sarcopenia. It’s the silent loss of muscle and bone density that starts in your 40s and accelerates every year you wait. If you don't resist it now, you lose your independence later.
At Resistance Base, we don't train for "six-pack abs." We train for sturdiness. We use science-backed resistance training to build a body that doesn't break, a brain that doesn't fear movement, and a future where you remain the helper, not the one needing help.
That's been my reason for training regularly, pursuing multiple accreditations from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and telling anyone who will listen to join me in resisting frailty.
